GOP In-Fighting: Marco Rubio Aide Punches Rand Paul Aide In the Face (VIDEO)

Things got a little dicey at a popular GOP gathering on Mackinac Island, Michigan Thursday night when Maco Rubio aide, Rich Beeson punched Rand Paul aide John Yob in the face in what Yob described as being "literally physically assaulted".  In a tweet late last night Mr. Yob called on the Florida Senator to fire Mr. Beeson.

Yob would go on to write in a facebook post:

Last night I went to a bar on Mackinac Island for the GOP Mackinac Conference. I ran into a guy named Rich Beeson, who frankly I didn't even know who it was at first because he isn't relevant in our political world. Anyway, he is Marco Rubio's national campaign manager. He literally physically assaulted me by punching me in the face. The state police are looking for him. I have it on video, from multiple angles. This will play out in the national media in the next few hours.

And play it did. At first, according to the National Journal, Rubio's campaign chief Terry Sullivan assumed the alleged assault was a joke, telling Yob “Well that if you were talking shit I’m glad [he punched you]. Besides. We need more space and wanna take over your townhouse when Rand is done.” In a follow-up email, after the story made national headlines, Mr. Sullivan emailed back Mr. Yob and apologized.

“Guess I was wrong," Sullivan said, according to the National Journal. "Sorry, I didn’t realize it was a real situation.”

It was a real situation, indeed. Check out the deck below:
