Mike Huckabee Gets Slammed By Jewish Americans For Outrageous Obama-Hitler Comparison

Perhaps it was his sagging poll numbers or just some really bad political advice, but GOP presidential candidate Mike Huckabee decided this weekend to basically compare President Obama to Adolf Hitler for striking a deal with Iran.

Huckabee said during a radio interview on Saturday that Obama is “so naive he would trust the Iranians and he would take the Israelis and basically march them to the door of the oven,” an obvious reference to Nazi death camps.

He then doubled down on Sunday, tweeting out the following:

While many were angered by the comparison, Jewish Americans took particular offense for obvious reasons. Here are some of their reactions:

The National Jewish Democratic Council denounced Huckabee's rhetoric, saying, “Far, far too often, this organization has found itself forced to denounce politicians for invoking the Holocaust in inappropriate and offensive ways. These comments by Governor Mike Huckabee, however, may be the most inexcusable we’ve encountered in recent memory.”

As of this writing, Huckabee has not backed down and none of his GOP opponents have condemned his remarks. Perhaps the Republican Party has decided that turning up the crazy is the only way to fire up a base that has propelled Donald Trump to frontrunner status.
