Jeb Bush Praises Uber Even Though It Supports Obamacare Which He Loathes

Jeb Bush was in San Francisco today to praise a segment of the technology industry. Bush made a big show of calling an Uber — the taxi company under fire for its anti-worker policies— for a ride to his event. The move was largely seen as a rebuke to progressives who are calling for the company to be regulated so it would be forced to abide by wage and labor laws. (Uber insists on treating its workers as independent contractors instead of full-time employees, depriving them of benefits.)

But even the parasitic Uber breaks with Bush in a major area. Its CEO Travis Kalanick has been a big supporter of the Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare. Kalanick said the program has been “huge” and that all Americans should have access to a healthcare safety net.

For the record, the Uber driver who drove Jeb Bush, a 35-year-old Yemeni man, didn't even recognize the presidential candidate. He simply said that Bush was “nice.”
