WATCH: Jon Stewart Lambasts Braindead Media's Lazy Reporting on G-7 Summit

The total lack of reporting, analysis or even thought on the part of the media has been fully evident in the coverage of the G-7 Summit this week. Jon Stewart went to town on this deplorable state of affairs on Tuesday night's "Daily Show."

Among the things the media dished abut and idly speculated on: whether German Chancellor and President Obama were drinking an alcohol-free German beer, what Angela Merkel's arm gestures meant while she was talking to Obama as he sat on a bench, and whether Obama snubbed the Iraqi prime minister or whether it was just a "#awkward" moment.

Yes, as Stewart hilariously points out, the kind of coverage the news media is regularly dispensing is on the level of middle school girls, "just totes awk-a-doodle-do!"

The segment, called "Trivialize This!" featured a bunch of knee-slapping moments, and a sobering message.
