WATCH: Jon Stewart Lambasts Fox Newsian for Idiotic Comment on Torture

Jon Stewart and his "senior intelligence correspondent" Hasan Minhaj had a little debate on Wednesday night's show about whether are not the United States is "awesome."

They were spoofing idiotic Fox Newsian Andrea Tantaros commentary that America is awesome in part because it stopped torturing people, and the "only reason this administration wants to have this discussion is because they think we are not awesome. And we are awesome."

"That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard," said Stewart in a masterpiece of understatement.

But Minhaj begged to differ because, well, we are awesome.

"We're awesome just because we are awesome?" Stewart inquired.

No. Minhaj cited freeing the slaves, giving women the vote and stopping torturing people.

"But we did that against OURSELVES," Stewart pointed out.

"Oh, you're that guy," Minhaj said. "Mr. Truth."

More hilarity ensued. Watch:
