WATCH: Jon Stewart Calls Out GOP Hypocrites Who Now Talk Bipartisanship

Jon Stewart was looking for a synonym for the overwhelming Republican victory in Tuesday's election, and he came up with a "tectonic skull-f*cking."

Democrats not only lost House seats, control of the Senate and important governships, "Blues clues will now be called Red's Clues," Stewart said Wednesday night. "The only territory Democrats kept is that painful sexual frustration will still be called 'blue balls.'"

Whew! At least there's that.

Cut to the unexpected congenial tone that some Republicans showed in the aftermath

"Just because we have a two-party system doesn't mean we have to be in perpetual conflict," Mitch McConnell, the Senate's new majority leader, said in a press conference after his victory.

"Who the f*ck are these people?" Stewart responded, sounding, oh, just a wee bit skeptical.
