WATCH: Jon Stewart Lambasts ESPN for Refusing to Get Over Fact that Michael Sam Is Gay

Jon Stewart and Samantha Bee took aim at some of the ridiculous reporting about Michael Sam's locker room habits Wednesday night. Notably, ESPN reported that some teammates of Michael Sam think he is "respecting their space" and waiting to shower so as not to make his teammates uncomfortable. "Michael Sam is gay," said Stewart. "Are we not over this?"

Samantha Bee did her own report from the front lines of the NFL locker rooms, and said that in fact the problem is much deeper than just the showering. "Michael Sam is refusing to get naked around other players," she said. "No grabass, no dick snaps, no ball cupping, none of the locker room behavior that normal heterosexual NFL players engage in."

The bawdiness of the NFL locker room is legendary and well-documented in the book Boys Will Be Boys—why, one might even call it homoerotic.

Bee and Stewart are hilarious in this "non-depressing story about a black man in St. Louis." Watch:
