Jimmy Fallon Told Chris Christie That Springsteen Bridgegate Parody Was All in Good Fun

Jimmy Fallon felt the need to message Chris Christie to assure him that his sketch with Bruce Springsteen mocking the governor was just a joke. Fallon and Springsteen teamed up to sing “Gov. Christie Traffic Jam,” a parody song based on Springsteen’s “Born to Run.” It was broadcast on Fallon’s late night show.

In an interview with Yahoo! News, Christie disclosed the Fallon message.  Yahoo’s Matt Bai reported that “he’d gotten a direct message on Twitter from Fallon assuring him it was all in good fun.”

Christie is a huge fan of Springsteen.  He didn’t watch the sketch, but Christie’s son told him, “It’s actually kind of cool to have Bruce saying your name.”
