Rachel Maddows has denounced a harsh voter suppression bill signed into law in North Carolina by unpopular North Carolina Governor. Pat McCrory this week which affects the voting rights of minorities, the elderly, students and low-income earners.
Much of the criticism of the bill has been on the Republican efforts to find ways to prevent students from voting by proposing stricter voter ID laws and prohibiting certain kinds of voter registration drives which are associated with low-income and minority voters.
