Josh Treviño, a well-known conservative new media strategist endorsed by conservatives Jon Henke and David All as well as and a founding member of the right-wing blog Red State, posted a tweet as he was re-entering the United States from Mexico:

Apparently that’s a pretty funny joke, I guess? The more I read his tweets, however, the more it seems he’s dead serious about it.

I wonder if the Republican candidate for U.S. Senate he consults for, Assemblyman Chuck DeVore, gets it because I don’t. Chuck?

Update Treviño has seen the wave of negative responses, but he’s half-Latino so it’s cool, everybody! Or something.
