Time to Establish a Department of Peace

If President Obama doesn't want to be another Democrat centrist/militarist, he could boldly announce that the USA will now lead the world in a commitment to nonviolence. Pick up the legacy of Dr. King and Gandhi, and disarm. Say it: we are ready to establish a national Department of Peace that institutionalizes conflict resolution, and promotes better human communication. As we move away from spending $1 trillion a year on bombs, nukes, war and death, we'll have money to put into new green venture capital programs, free up everyone's creativity, and get the economy going again, from the group up!
