Replace Hubris with Passion and Creativity
December 03, 2008News & Politics
Barack Obama's modus operandi and modus vivendi must be at ease with the nuances, ambiguities and complexities that are the infrastructure of the political edifice that he not only will inhabit but, in many ways, construct and build. The bricks and mortar of this building must jettison the omnipotent and omniscient twins of hubris and replace them with the Promethean sparks of passion and creativity. And to weather coat this structure from the Republican storms, collective monologues must become artifacts of the past, and dialogues the currency of the future. Reason, logic and faith can be mutually inclusive rather than mutually exclusive.
