Repair America's Image Abroad
December 03, 2008
Barack Obama needs to repair America's image abroad and strengthen our alliances, which President Bush has trampled. During the election, America saw that Obama was cool and collected. There is plenty of evidence to show that he will be calm and reasonable in the decisions that he makes -- most helpful as commander in chief. The first thing Obama should do is end the war in Iraq and help the nation, ours and theirs, rebuild. We shouldn't do it alone; we should engage our allies around the world and in the area. Second, Obama should encourage the prosecution of Bush and his cronies to show our nation and the world that illegal acts will not go unpunished.
