Rice was warned of 9/11 in 7/10 meeting [VIDEO]

You know about the August 6 Presidential Daily Briefing entitled "Bin Laden determined to strike in US" but according to the Olbermann clip to the right, Bob Woodward's State of Denial notes that Rice was warned weeks earlier as well. Rumsfeld too. They just, sort of, you know, didn't really do anything about it.

On July 10, 2001, CIA Director George Tenet and his counter-terrorism chief Cofer Black met with Condi Rice because they had "communications intercepts and other TOP SECRET intelligence, showing the increasing likelihood that al Qaeda would soon attack the U.S. But Tenet had been having difficulty getting traction on an immediate bin Laden action plan, in part because Rumsfeld had questioned all the NSA intercepts and other intelligence."

According to Olbermann, Rice denies that they actually met. And why shouldn't she? She's already missed the boat on the August 6 PDB, and now this? MSNBC "terrorism analyst," and director of transnational threats on the national security staff, Roger Cressey, comments that it was laid out to Rice in "pretty stark terms."

K, great, love all the revelations and stuff, but I agree with Arianna, when she welcomes Bob to 2002, writing:

"...praising Woodward for his very-late-to-the-party Iraq pile-on is like a music critic writing a rave of "Let It Be" and getting credit for discovering The Beatles."
