Dobbs pits 'black vs. brown' [VIDEO]

How do you solve a problem like Lou Dobbs? On the one hand he's an articulate and passionate defender of the Middle Class, taking the side of the little guy over corporate (I'm tempted to write "greed" but that would anthropomorphize the un-anthropomorphizable, wouldn't it?) ... dominance.

On the other hand, Dobbs is a pusher of anti-immigration (and anti-immigrant) paranoia, never missing an opportunity to use hand-held video of blurry brown folk skittering over fences while tossing about terms like "invasion."

In his latest hack-tastic segment, Dobbs claims to be the defender of the good name of the Civil Rights Era, and MLK Jr.

The "open borders lobby," as he calls it (does anyone advocate open borders?), has coopted the language of the Civil Rights Movement, despite the fact that Dobbs can dredge up two -- NOT JUST ONE! -- black talking heads to claim that illegal immigration hurts black people.

Not only doesn't Dobbs go to, say, the NAACP for a comment, or the Congressional Black Caucus maybe, but he's managed to miraculously cherry-pick a member of the Minuteman Project and a Choose Black America member, an organization of 14 black men and women dedicated to ending illegal immigration.

Dobbs, found what he was looking for. Again.
