Dems challenge Bush on Iraq

In a letter from top Senate and House Dems, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi lambast the president for his depressing impotence when it comes to Iraq. My words, not theirs.

Looks like the Dems are finally realizing that. It's. About. Iraq. Healthcare, the economy and other bread and butter issues can't be ignored of course, but ask anyone planning to vote and see if they don't talk Iraq. Go on, I'll wait.

The letter begins with a little, Ahem, we called you, why haven't you called back?

Over one month ago, we wrote to you about the war in Iraq. In the face of escalating violence, increasing instability in the region, and an overall strain on our troops that has reduced their readiness to levels not seen since Vietnam, we called upon you to change course and adopt a new strategy to give our troops and the Iraqi people the best chance for success.
Then it gets a bit snarky...
