Time to strip Joe Lieberman. Seriously.

Erstwhile Senator Joe Lieberman should have been stripped of his committee assignments on August 8th when he lost the Democratic primary to Ned Lamont and announced his independent bid.

Joe Lieberman is now openly campaigning with Republicans. Tony Blankly said on Meet The Press that Lieberman might caucus with the Republicans if he wins the Connecticut Senate race.

Jane Hamsher is absolutely right, Harry Reid needs to put Holy Joe in his place, now.

Update: I'm told that the procedure for kicking Senators off committees is much more involved than most people realize, so, Reid may have to lay down the party line by other means. Either way, it's time for Harry to step up and enforce party discipline. At the very least, he should be holding press conferences every day to remind people where Holy Joe stands with the Democrats and what the Democratic party thinks of turncoats who are getting in the way of winning back the House.
