Rhodes: American priorities twisted
Radio host Neal Boortz sparred with AirAmerica host Randi Rhodes on Larry King. After Boortz said that Israel has a right to defend itself against those that think 'Israel should be wiped off the face of the earth,' Rhodes turns into a voice of reason not often heard on network news:
“It’s so sad, Larry. I mean, Lebanon’s been used as a battleground for 40 years for various things. Follow the money…Right now, you know, we can't afford to be isolated in the world, and neither can Israel. I just don't understand what good can come to Israel by creating more hostility, more terrorists, more hatred.â€ÂRhodes concludes by pointing out just how backwards American priorities currently are:
"I don't see how anybody benefits from this, let alone the United States, who can't deliver trailers to Katrina victims but can deliver bombs on time to Israel. How is this helping?"
