Dean rips Lieberman, Republicans
As proved in this clip and Senator Feingold's recent interview, the leaders of the Democratic Party are coming out strong in support of Ned Lamont and against Joe Lieberman. In DNC Chairman Howard Dean's interview on Meet the Press, Dean strongly counters Lieberman's recent statements saying that the 'extreme left' has taken over the Democratic Party and his absurd suggestion that a vote for Lamont is essentially a vote for Al Qaeda:
"I think it's outrageous. That's the same thing that Dick Cheney, who's been widely discredited by most Americans as essentially a propaganda machine, has said--it's ridiculous. That's is saying to the Connecticut voters that you don't care about American securtiy and saying to the Connecticut voters that they like Al Qaeda. That is a ridiculous thing. The Republicans hope, once again, to win an election based on fear. You know, fear mongering, whining and complaining and name calling is not going to lead America."Dean then goes on to outline how Bush's Iraq policy has hurt the country and how the Republican's have declared "war on the middles class."
