Lieberman, in Bush's mouth (video)

This may be one of the most important developments in the country these days.

Joe Lieberman, driven partly by netroots/blogger power (thus all the blog-dissing of late), may actually lose his party's nomination to Democrat Ned Lamont -- nearly unheard of in a primary challenge to a powerful incumbent and former vice-presidential candidate.

Lieberman, currently vacillating between calling Lamont a radical lefty and a Republican, is testing out each, to see which fits. Meanwhile, since that's the kind of disingenuous jawflapping alienating voters from the Democrats and Lieberman in the first place, Joe is jonesing for Joe-mentum.

Lamont, on the other hand, is clearly running against Lieberman's tendency to support the president -- if not in deed, then in word. To wit, a top-drawer ad:
