Bush has "done a great job of f***ing himself."

Howie Klein rejoices at both the victory of, and comments following, Green Day's song at the ASCAP awards on Monday.

The song, "Boulevard of Broken Dreams," was included on the band's 2004 album, American Idiot. Many believed that title to refer to the American President. This writer, however, believes it refers to several pre-Iraq War editorial boards.

In any case, Klein gleefully records the words of G.D. frontman Billie Joe Armstrong:

"Is this where I'm supposed to say 'Fuck George W. Bush?" The ballroom-- which wasn't filled with punk rockers-- burst into cheering and applause. When the rowdy songwriters and industry types quieted down a bit Billie answered his own question. "You know what? He's done a great job of fucking himself."
