Scalia: subway + rifle = fun

News & Politics

This is one of those quotes where you pause, look out the window, and wonder if you're on the same planet as the person in the article you're reading. U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia told the National Wild Turkey Federation's annual convention this weekend, "I used to travel on the subway from Queens to Manhattan with a rifle. Could you imagine doing that today in New York City?"

Funny, I think most New Yorkers (and the millions of tourists that visit each year) might agree that doing that "today in New York City" might be a fairly bad idea.

Just a reminder, this is one of the guys deciding our reproductive fate. (thanks, Michael!)
