Rush Limbaugh is black

This is just weird. Attempting to capitalize on the Democrats' internal (and extremely stupid) struggle to determine which candidate would get the nod to run for senate in Ohio, Rush Limbaugh made a boo boo.

He claimed that Sherrod Brown, who won party backing over Paul Hackett, won it because he's black: "And don't forget, Sherrod Brown is black. There's a racial component here, too."

Except he's not black (see photo). Or, he's as black as Rush Limbaugh, I guess. If you read here, you learn that ethnicity may be even less "pure" than even the most liberal scientists thought.

If I thought there was one simple answer I'd do a poll. Did he say this because:

  1. Neither rain, nor snow, nor dark of night, nor facts will stop Limbaugh from his appointed rounds as a right's wingnuttiest wingman?
  2. Just a simple mistake?
  3. Limbaugh's newest syllogism is: Dems are bad, blacks are bad, therefore Dems are black? Or:
  4. A new Oxycontin scrip fell in his lap?

As usual, I'm sure the truth is woven from all four... (MediaMatters)
