Mama McClellan quits GOP

White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan's mom, Texas Comptroller Carole Keeton Strayhorn, is challenging Rick Perry for governor of Texas.

Strayhorn, former Democrat and soon-to-be-former Republican, will run as an independent. Guess she's not terribly proud of her son's party. Here she is on Rick "homos move elsewhere" Perry, via Raw Story:

"[He's] a weak leadin', ethics ignorin', pointin' the finger at everyone blamin', special session callin', public school slashin', slush fund spendin', toll road buildin', special interest panderin', rainy day fund raidin', fee increasin', no property tax cuttin', promise breakin', do nothin' phony conservative."
