Feeling Playboy

I'd like help with a social dilemma. But first, sensationalism...

A decade ago, apparently, four issues of Playboy were printed in braille. Brian Sack writes:

"It's normal to not want Playboy in Braille to exist. Because it's weird. It raises too many questions. Questions like: Why is the government printing Playboy in Braille? And: How do you explain a naked woman to a pubescent, visually impaired teen?
"Elka leans against a wall, wearing only a carpenter's tool belt. She's hot. Believe me."
Yeah, visually-impaired humor doesn't do much for me either.

And I'm not sure if this brief experiment provides conclusive proof of Playboy's literary and journalistic worth but it's a more interesting argument than most. Sack can't resist more yucks: "Put it out on the coffee table like I did. Owning Playboy in Braille is like having a Day-Glo orange monkey that can curse in Farsi. It gets attention. People talk."

Which brings me to my dilemma. It's about a friend actually, not me. Really. A woman friend of mine walked into the apartment of a man she liked. They were making motions toward dating. Upon entry she spotted a Playboy magazine on the coffee table among the New Yorkers and Us Weeklys and Wire...

Put off by the idea of dating someone who keeps "porn out on the table like that" she begged off and canceled dinner. Now the question is, is Playboy "porn?"
