Audio: The day John Lennon died

Fine, I'm a bit late on this... but some anonymous person had the wherewithal to make a recording of the radio dial on the night John Lennon was killed, 25 years ago.

Captured on the recording are a couple of news accounts, a first hand recollection by an officer on the scene, some distraught callers and a whole bunch of Beatles tracks.

Just nine, I was about 20 blocks away at the time of the incident. I had only a vague idea of who the Beatles were but I do remember the look in peoples' faces when they heard the news. (BewareoftheBlog; hat tip: TheMorningNews)
