Airbrushing the truth about women and girls

Via Feministe: A project of the Swedish government has set up an interactive Flash movie to show girls (and everyone else) just how much work goes into making the pretty women in the pretty magazines as pretty as they are. Check it out here.

Like many, I was aware of tremendous amounts of Photoshopping and all that, but this really opened up my eyes. I'm hoping US teachers pick up on it... I sure wish someone had showed me this when I was 15. (Or 20. Or 25.)
