The President's husband

Yes, I've been earning my salary over at In These Times. The latest is a web column about the TV series "Commander-in-Chief," which stars Geena Davis as the President. My argument is that the really exciting aspect of the show is not the woman in the Oval Office, but her husband who is cast in the role of "the quintessential political spouse who selflessly puts his wife’s career above and beyond all else in his life." It's his positioning as a male Hillary Clinton that truly challenges us to reimagine the traditional marital relationship. [LINK]
