Morons on parade ...

News & Politics

I can't quite bring myself to read the Right-wing blogs. The Wall Street Journal and the National Review are hard enough-- there isn't enough Librium out there to get me through the hard-core wing-nutisphere.

That's because of folks like Michelle Malkin's guest-blogger Brian Maloney. He had a post yesterday titled "Evil Regimes Set To Topple?"

Was it about North Korea? Uzbekistan? Not quite:

Keep a sharp eye on fresh developments in both Canada and Cuba, two countries with rogue, corrupt and repressive regimes that don't know when to cut their losses and leave town.
That's right, Canada. She's rogue and repressive don't ya know?
[In] Canada, where Prime Minister Paul Martin's corrupt band of Librano$ are still clinging to power … the situation is ever more tenuous.
Captain Ed continues to serve as America's blogospheric ambassador to Canada, publishing the latest poll figures, which are especially dire for the Liberal Party. They show Martin's government shedding six points in the last three weeks.
With cracks even in the minority government coalition with the socialist New Democratic Party that has allowed them to remain in power, time is quickly running out and elections are now a near-certainty.
Oh my God, elections! That never happens in a parliamentary system!

Fortunately, back here in the reality-based world, there's not too much danger of Canada falling into Conservative hands:
The National Post said results from an Ipsos Reid poll showed support for the Liberal party at 36 percent, compared with 27 percent for the Conservatives, 16 percent for the New Democrats and 13 percent for the Bloc Quebecois.
That's an eleven-point lead (or a 52-27 showing for the Libs and New Dems combined) despite the fact that the Liberals have been embroiled in the greatest scandal in Canadian history.
