Libby indicted, resigns; Rove escapes...
Reuters is reporting (as expected) that Libby has been indicted -- "charged with perjury, obstruction of justice and making false statements" -- but that Karl Rove remains under investigation. John Aravosis warns against disappointment, calling Libby "Cheney's Rove" and commenting that "Just because four years ago you didn't hate (or know) Scooter doesn't lessen the impact..."
The Smoking Gun has the whole indictment [HERE]. Read for yourself what Libby's accused of.
Via Nico, we find out that Ann Coulter believes that an ongoing investigation of Rove may be "the worst possible scenario" for the administration.
Finally, Jeralyn Merritt details a scenario in which Rove has made a secret deal, under which an indictment would be unnecessary, even if he did cop to a crime. She even presents a scenario in which Rove could walk. But that would only happen if Rove turns over on a number of other people and if his testimony proves crucial. He wouldn't do that, would he?
