Police mistreating gays
Amnesty International's latest report finds that: "there is a heightened pattern of misconduct and abuse of transgender individuals and all LGBT people of color, young people, immigrants, the homeless and sex workers by police. At times, the mere perception that someone is gay or lesbian provokes physical or verbal attacks."
The country: America.
I won't bother with the laundry list of attacks, you can find them here on Doug Ireland's blog, but it does make you want to ask hypocrites who crow about bringing freedom to foreign lands why we can't even guarantee it for our own citizens.
It can make a person start to think that, like 40 years ago with black people, freedom is reserved for those who look and act in a certain way. (Direland)
