Moving the football...

According to Knight-Ridder papers, many of the top Democrat leaders, notably past and future presidential candidates Howard Dean, Hillary Clinton, Russ Feingold and John Kerry, won't attend this weekend's big anti-war rally in Washington.

Tom at Current Era writes of this news:

I am having another Charlie Brown moment as my foot attempts to make contact, the football is pull[ed] away yet another time sending me through the air and resting on my back looking at the clouds and what could have been.
Such is the Democratic party of today. Would the next great party please stand up! The time is ripe for a third party. The majority is waiting.
