Clinton tells Bush to take a flying leap

Noting the success of Clinton's and his dad's fundraising in the wake of the Tsunami, Bush asked Clinton for an encore performance to help Katrina victims.

Bob Geiger thinks he should say no: "Clinton needs to tell the president to go jump in Lake Pontchartrain."

After noting Bush's largesse in laying the blame for 9/11 at Clinton's feet and for highlighting Clinton's immorality (Bush would blame Clinton for his drunk driving, knocking up an old girlfriend, national guard desertion and coke habit were Clinton around at the time), Bob asks:

But shouldn't Clinton use his massive popularity to help the victims in Louisiana and Mississippi? Absolutely. He just shouldn't let his true compassion be used to prop up the disastrous Bush regime.
...
We should all do everything we can to help our brothers and sisters down South. But we can easily do that without making bad guys look good for our efforts. Bush didn't give a damn about poor New Orleans residents before this disaster – Clinton should not enable any charade that makes it look like he does now.
