Stewart vs. Hitchens (video)

Chris Hitchens brought his haggard act to the Daily Show and had to ask, politely, for applause. I'll say this: he was a good sport, if a bit washed out.

Robert Farley writes: "Stewart handled Hitch. He knew just the right questions to ask, and just the right way to react to Hitch's talking points."

Hitch: I'm sorry, Sunshine, I just watched you ridicule the President for saying that he wouldn't give a timetable. . .
Stewart: No, you've misunderstood why. . . That's not why I ridicule the President. Why I ridicule the President is that he refuses to answer questions from adults as though we were adults, and falls back upon platitudes and phrases and talking points that do a disservice to the goals that he himself shares with the very people he needs to convince.
Farley then rips this straight from the brains of frustrated viewers everywhere: "Goddamn, why is the best we've got stuck doing fake news on Comedy Central? Or, put differently, why is the best journalist in America on Comedy Central?" [VIDEO] (Lawyers, Guns and Money/Video via Crooks and Liars)
