Sheehan v. O'Reilly (audio)

First, here's O'Reilly smearing Cindy Sheehan with a little help from his friend--Michelle Malkin:

O'Reilly:

"I think Mrs. Sheehan bears some responsibility for this [publicity] and also for the responsibility for the other American families who lost sons and daughters in Iraq who feel this kind of behavior borders on treasonous..."
A little while later Malkin took her shot at reading the mind of the dead Casey Sheehan:
"I can’t imagine that Casey Sheehan would approve of such behavior."
Think Progress has the audio and hits it right on the head: "Is smearing grieving mothers how the right-wing supports the troops?"

Ratings whore that he is, O'Reilly then asked her to come on the show. According to David Edwards, here's her response to the question of whether she will appear or not (and here's the audio of the entire "blog call" with Sheehan):
"No. I don't like it when people lie about me. He attacks me personally about it. He asked me to go on show. My first reaction is that I'll go on if he publicly apologizes for lying about me. But my second reaction is I won't go on at all because his show is an obscenity."
"Our true mission is bringing attention to the occupation of Iraq and bringing our troops home. The Bush Administration doesn't have the support of the majority of America. We do."
Amen. For a little observation on the Times' letter page coverage of the Sheehan story, go here. (ThinkProgress/Bradblog)
