Moving the primary system
The Boston Phoenix has an interesting article about taking the current primary system and rotating it throughout the country. "New Hampshire and Iowa let two small states control the nation’s political future. Or, to put it bluntly: with New Hampshire and Iowa leading the way, followed breathlessly by a slew of other states, Democrats keep losing presidential elections." Election laws in most states make this whole thing pretty tricky, but the concept is fascinating -- giving other states with more diverse populations the chance to weigh in on candidate selections.
