Summing up Matt Cooper

Or how to completely trash a journalist in one very long sentence, as demonstrated by Chris Lehmann over at the New York Observer:

Eliciting comment from President Bush's senior advisor "on double super secret background for about two mins [sic] before he went on vacation," Mr. Cooper sounds, in corresponding with his bureau chief, more like a teenager armed with an Encyclopedia Brown novel and a decoder ring than a reporter determined to uncover the dirt on a brewing White House scandal.
Needless to say, I am green to the gills.

P.S: I love the line-up of stars my fellow Alternetters picked for a Hollywood version of this sordid drama. But Billy Bob Thornton as Matt Cooper? Please let's try and give him a little less credit. I'd pick Larry Miller to play Cooper as opposed to McClellan, who'd be a perfect role for someone like Jon Favreau, Mr. Faux Sincerity himself.
