Happy Canada Day!

"Once again Canada Day has snuck upon us like a respectful little mouse, quietly, not wanting to attract attention. It happens every year, but every year I am still surprised by it, turning the name of their lovely national anthem into a question (Oh? Canada?)," writes The Baron. "Many Americans might find this lack of independence day breast-beating by our neighbors to the north laughable, or even a sign of weakness. But one thing that you all share with me it is a certainty that if people would put aside their "eh!" jokes and disdain for hockey and irrational fear of the welfare state they would see the subtle beauty in the land of the maple leaf.

Here's to the day when we as a nation stop our mockery and disdain and cry "O Canada, you have much to teach us!" (RCFYA)
