Daily Kos gives us a heads up on Rep. Don Sherwood, R-Pa, who is battling a $5.5 million civil suit filed by Cynthia Ore, a woman with whom he's -- finally and grudgingly -- admitted to having a five-year affair:
The court papers were filed by Sherwood, R-Pa., in response to the lawsuit filed last month by Cynthia Ore, 29, of Rockville, Md. In it, she alleges that he brutally assaulted her and struck her on several occasions.
Sherwood, 64, denied in Thursday's filing that she lived at his Capitol Hill apartment as she had claimed in her suit. He said the affair ended Sept. 15 -- the day police were called to Sherwood's apartment after Ore dialed 911. LINK
Needless to say that Sherwood is one of GOP's most ardent moral conservatives, protecting marriage from gay folks etc. etc. It's every bit as predictable as a B-rated Hollywood flick.
