G-man statement on Plame

Susanhu has an excellent roundup of press coverage of CIA agent Larry Johnson's statement, from the Democratic radio address, blowing a number of Rove-apologist claims out of the water. Like the claim that she wasn't really an undercover agent, for example (in fact, she was in an even more compromised position than most...).

Johnson has some harsh words for CBS who interviewed him but didn't run it: "I won't be available for CBS in the future. No need to waste my time with you folks because, whether I spend time with you or not, the story gets ignored."

And don't miss Johnson's note on Sen. Pat Roberts' (R-KS) preference for partisan hackery over national security (btw: Roberts is the chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee):
"it is downright alarming that Senator Roberts can be so misinformed. Today, while appearing on CNN's Late Edition, Roberts repeated the specious claim that Valerie Plame could not be undercover because she went to work everyday at CIA Headquarters. Folks, there is no excuse for this level of incompetence..."
