The joke: it's a Clear Channel billboard

billboard ad for a Spanish-language TV-station in LA that reads: Los Angeles, CA Mexico, has anti-immigrant activists in a tizzy, claiming that "This is almost a poster-board for illegal immigration." Yes, we can certainly see how people leave their homes and families to attempt a dangerous border-crossing with the potential for running into well-armed and wildly inept vigilantes, so long as the prospect of a sympathetic TV station lies in their future. Detention camp apologist Michelle fears the billboard: "I could write whole treatises on how American sovereignty is being undermined by our own open borders capitulationists and stability fetishists." And other vague phrases that stoke hatred. Perhaps she didn't hear that undocumented workers contribute $7 billion/year toward her Social Security? (Michelle Malkin)
