Terrorizing ourselves

Nobody disputes that terrorism is a real problem to which we must devote resources, but... 9,000,000 people die of hunger-related deaths per year; 1.5 million of diarrhea; a million from traffic accidents. Terrorism? Less than 5 thousand. Of course, perspective doesn't maintain panic, so, according to Eli: "A few days ago, this year's 'terrorism report' was squelched, so we aren't going to get to know this year's statistics..." What has made the news is that each year 68,000 women die from unsafe abortions. That's over 13 times as many as die from terrorism. Supplying 68,000 abortion pills would cost "less than the amount being spent in the 'war on terror' in one hour." (Left I)
