Responding to the liberal stem-cell argument that it's one thing to demand that cells in a woman should be protected but that it's crazy to offer the same to cells in a petri dish, Digby disagrees: "I would think that logic would force you to choose the one that doesn't conflict directly with the fully formed human being it's living within --- the woman... If people want to decide that DNA scraps in petri dishes are full citizens with the right to vote and own condos in Miami, it's stupid, but far more logical than it is when you tell a woman that the scrap of DNA inside of her body has the same equal rights under the law as she does."
