Hoaxes & apologies

Peek's now been around long enough to track a few recent posts to see what's become of them. Most recently there was the provocative "Protecting America's Cocks" in which a S.C. Republican prioritized cockfighting over spousal assault. He has since apologized for some of his idiotic remarks. And remember that prof. who put the fear of God into the student who thieved his laptop? Hoax. And the finger in the Wendy's chili incident? Also a Hoax (although, Russ says: "[it] should have been a public relations coup. A human finger is probably one of the most nutritious things on a Wendy's menu."). The lesson? Don't trust blogs...except, these two hoaxes were picked up by traditional media as well, so... (Peek)
