One of the groups campaigning to end the filibuster for Bush's judicial nominees, was, just 7 years ago, a strong proponent. Here they are (video available) taking a courageous stand against the appointment of a gay man to the crucial position of ambassador to Luxembourg: "The Senate...is a deliberative body, and it's got a number of checks and balances...[t]he filibuster is one of those checks in which a majority cannot just sheerly force its will, even if they have a majority of votes in some cases..."
