Terry Schaivo will not testif

In a morbid last-ditch effort to extend a 14-year vegetative state, Republicans in congress, led by presidential hopeful Bill Frist, subpoenaed the Florida woman in order to claim that the scheduled removal of her feeding tube and her subsequent death would cause her to miss her court date (a tactic, it's fair to say, that has a somewhat less illustrious history than the filibuster). That, ladies and gentlemen is your CULTure of Life. AP reports that the tube has been removed as scheduled. Something we all agree on: rest in peace Terry. (Majikthise)
