Poems: WHY NOT PEACE and WAR

WHY NOT PEACE

If only people tried to use their brain

They'd see that they are here not just to kill,

Drop bombs, use weapons, aim to cause us pain;

Instead, remember that they have free will

Avoid all war, endeavor to make peace.

Why can't they understand it's cruel to fight?

Why not agree that conflict is to cease?

Because when war is here things can't go right,

The peoplelose their homes, their families,

Andfor the country, it will lose its soul,

While Nature cries at seeing dying trees

Where once life played an all-important role.

War must always die; so peace can reign

And everybody lives without complaint.

WAR

For the least provocation

People lose their lives

Scattered innocent blood shouting for help

Ground that is dying from bombs

People taking what they want by power

By killing, by maiming

This thing is EVIL!!

It only achievesnegative results,

Leaving the land without a soul

Leaving the people without hope

What's the use of war, if you take a dead land?
