Nader Favors Yankees for World Series
CHICO -- Ralph Nader during a campaign swing in the rural California town of Chico announced he supports the New York Yankees in the World Series.
He would not say how many games the series would go but claimed he was a longtime fan of the Bronx bombers.
"I'm an old Lou Gehrig fan so I'm supporting the Yankees," the Green Party presidential candidate explained during a press conference at California State University.
Later in the press conference, Nader addressed the legal, medical and ethical challenges posed by advances in biotechnology. "In thirty years we're going to have humanoids," claimed Nader, "And there's no debate about that, we don't have any input about that."
The candidate made no mention of what the existence of "humanoids" might mean for the pennant prospects of the New York Yankees in 2030.
