Rockie Horoscope 8

November 26-December 2, 1999If you know your ascendant, read it too.GENERAL FORECAST: A major energy shift Thanksgiving night as Mars moves into future-oriented Aquarius for the rest of the year. Might this timely change infect blase folks like me with millennium fever? Since Mercury turns direct in mid-Scorpio Wednesday night/Thursday morning, its station can affect the flow of info and the comings and goings of the tribe at your feast. However, all should be forgiven when passionate Mars and idealistic Neptune combine on Sunday. Religious nuts and sports fans, film buffs and music mavens tend to go over the top during this bi-annual conjunction, alcoholics and drug addicts, too. But as luck would have it, a healing sun-Chiron conjunction Tuesday points the way to rehab. More excessive behavior and spending on December 1 as self-indulgent Venus and optimistic Jupiter oppose.ARIES (March 20-April 19)Assuming that you are familiar with the occasional "no", and can accept less than full-tilt-boogie, you should be okay when your Mars ruler meets idealistic Neptune this weekend. This marriage is pure poetry, but it can also be self-defeating; the pretty picture dissolves into a delusion. However, if you want to play Elmer Gantry or Joan of Arc, or remake the original, now is the time. Rams born in mid-April could be convinced that their luck has turned and that a romance which may have slipped away is again at hand.TAURUS (April 20-May 20)Laughter may well be the best medicine, so the more funny faces around your holiday table, visits to comedy clubs and specials on Tv, the better. They can soothe your aches and worries, and divert your attention from this week's intense planetary conjunctions. Those Taureans tend to internalize as "another pain in the neck." Cockeyed optimism on Wednesday as your Venus ruler faces enthusiastic Jupiter. Think twice before agreeing to donate time and effort to a charity event; the same holds true for choir practice. Additional pressures you don't need.GEMINI (May 21-June 20)As if you weren't already connected to the latest technological advances, Mars' entry into futuristic Aquarius adds an element of juicy desire to the mix. What new age technique can you cash in on? Porn online? How big should the new HDTV screen be? Now that your Mercury ruler is direct, take the best ideas of the last three weeks and figure out how they can change your future. Regenerating the old you through better work and health routines or transforming yourself into a social butterfly fresh from the cocoon?CANCER (June 21-July 22)This can be one of more creative periods you've had in a while, so take advantage of the powerful planetary energies at your disposal. You can actually make a transformation that will last or renew your interest in an old hobby or, more likely, your passion for an old love. Games of chance won't seem so risky because you have faith in your intuition; if not in yours per se, then in your partner's vision of the future. Expect some parental stress and strain, but all things considered, a really good time.LEO (July 23-August 22)You might not feel quite as carved up as the turkey on the table, however, you could be just as central to the action this week. A situation at work can become a bit hairier, your relationship with a co-worker may heat up, and a somewhat mysterious health matter may clear up as Mars and Neptune align in Aquarius. Lions in film, music and medicine begin a new cycle, perhaps a new partnership. While your sun ruler joins with Chiron and Pluto in Sag, you'll have the power to heal wounds in the family. But will you have the desire?VIRGO (August 23-September 22)Just because your Mercury ruler is facing forward again, doesn't mean that you are thinking clearly or that you are back on the path to your next big thing. It'll take a few weeks to recover from retrograde, to come out of its shadow. So please move slowly when it comes to sales, promotion and communication projects. Although money must be spent during those few times a year that Venus and Jupiter, the jolly, generous planets, align, don't go overboard Wednesday. Your eyes, right now, are much bigger than your stomach.LIBRA (September 23-October 22)More indulgences -- of yourself, your partner, the guests who came to dinner and don't seem ready to leave. Accepting all and everything, giving your all and being all things to all people is the easiest way to let the effusive combination of your sociable Venus ruler and expansive Jupiter have free rein. Of course, a sensible Libran wouldn't go Christmas shopping during these spendthrift days, but who among you has ever heard the word, frugal. Instead, you're probably relying on a stroke of good luck to see you through the holidays. Good luck.SCORPIO (October 23-November 21)So much is happening simultaneously. (God forbid the Scorpion misses a chance to fly like an Eagle!) Mercury flipping in the middle of your sign can throw you off your game, but not for long. Your Mars co-ruler meets up with idealistic, albeit nebulous Neptune Sunday, and while this combo may benefit musicians, dreamers and online schemers, it makes it difficult for the rest to distinguish true from false. Plus, the urge to chuck what no longer works and change your image intensifies as the sun and your Pluto co-ruler merge on Thursday.SAGITTARIUS (November 22-December 21)Despite the holiday hoopla, complete with friends, family and financial concerns, you might want to hide out or retire to your room and contemplate your navel. Unless your birthday occurs this week. In that case, happy rebirthday. Thanks to the sun's conjunction with Chiron, the Wounded Healer, and Pluto, the Redeemer, you will be different this year than you were last. Transformation is never easy, but a fun-loving Venus-Jupiter polarity midweek should ease some of your pain and provide a good time for the rest of us.CAPRICORN (December 22-January 20)Don't think that because Mars has moved out of your sign, you've lost your desire to achieve whatever your main objective for the last six weeks has been. But it's time to make room for something new, which you just might catch a glimpse of when Mars enters into Neptune's aura this weekend. More music, holiday magic, a higher, holier goal? The woman or artist who is prominent right now is about to be quite generous, so try to be diplomatic. Not so with a casual friend who is hell-bent on reforming you.AQUARIUS (January 21-February 18)You've been warned, but are your plans set yet? What will you do with the extra energy Mars brings while it transits Aquarius from Thanksgiving through the millennium celebration? How much can one party animal party? Big doings at work or with a parent as the sun joins powerful Pluto next Wednesday. A significant change that ultimately benefits you, but when, I can't say. News you receive in the next few days is subject to misinterpretation due to of Mercury's flip. Check your sources.PISCES (February 19-March 19)Mars adds this much physical energy and sexual desire to your Neptune ruler only once every two years; Sunday night the divine conjunction is exact. However, by now you could be feeling strange and wondrous, spiritual and sacrificial like a Pisces normally does, only more so. Couple this with a need to spend more than is necessary just because Jupiter in your money house is reaching out to beautiful, loving Venus, and you can see for yourself the type of thanks you'll be giving and giving and giving...Curious about the future?
