Durst: You Can't Make Stuff Up Like This

You can't make stuff up like this.* Fred Thompson is ending his Campaign Finance Reform Hearingswithout much being accomplished. Of course, the only way to assure real action is next time we take all the money spent on holding the hearings and hire lobbyists.* A Las Vegas investor was convicted of swindling money from New York fashion models. Probably got caught trying to deduct food and books. * A 5400 year old mound believed to be the oldest human structure in America was found in Louisiana. Although its heritage is in doubt since Strom Thurmond denied any knowledge of it. * During the Senate IRS investigations, Senators were shocked to hearreports of arrogance and gouging. Can't tell if they were more outraged or jealous.* ValuJet changed its name to Airtran Airlines, and doubled theirmaintenance operation, which means what: two wrenches? * Worldcom is trying to buy MCI for $29.4 billion. I keep wonderingwhat the ace up their sleeve is. Probably have a three year contract with Al 'be his long distance carrier.* A poll says one third of Ukrainians would sell their vote to thehighest bidder. Which is a much better percentage than our House of Representatives.* I think next year, the Los Angeles Dodger baseball cards should beperforated making them more lifelike and easier to fold. Will Durst is perforated.
